The film Quantum Code can now be watched on the Shortcut entertainment platform

On the new Lattelecom entertainment platform Shortcut (www.shortcut.lv), viewers can watch director Santa Skutele’s documentary film Quantum Code. The film about physicist Vyacheslav Kaščejevs is available on Shortcut Films even before its release in Latvian cinemas.

About the film

The main character of the documentary is physicist Vyacheslav Kaščejevs—a man who experiences the world with every atom of his being and challenges stereotypes of physics as a dry and impersonal field of science. Alongside splitting electrons in the laboratory, he is a dreamer, teacher, socially active and civically minded husband and father who seeks a connection with the Almighty. What enables him to live in harmony and answer questions that seem incomprehensible to the rest of us? In her debut documentary, director Santa Skutele searches together with Vyacheslav for the code of life in the 21st century.

The film Quantum Code was produced by Juris Podnieks Film Studio. Director Santa Skutele, cinematographer Yuri Skorobogatov, editor Sandra Alksne, sound director Yevgeny Svyatov, music by Kirill Reznik-Martov, computer graphics by Ritvars Lasmanis, colour correction by Emils Linga, post-production by Andris Zemitis, executive producers Elizabete Palasiosa and Marta Kontina, producer Antra Cilinska. The film was made with the support of the National Film Centre and the State Culture Capital Foundation.
