The Scent of Riga’s Summer Returns: The Sought-After RĪGA Collection Is Available Again on STENDERS Store Shelves

As the linden trees come into bloom and the capital’s 825th anniversary approaches, the STENDERS brand is bringing back one of its most sought-after ranges – hand-care products created in collaboration with Riga Original® and featuring the scent of linden blossom. The first production run of this collection sold out completely, so at the request of product enthusiasts, it is returning this summer in a larger second run, serving as a symbolic reminder of the capital’s distinctive summer scent.

This is the only STENDERS collaboration collection to date created together with the Riga Original® brand as a special tribute to Riga – the city where STENDERS products are made and whose summer is impossible to imagine without the intoxicating scent of linden blossom. The scent, atmosphere and character of Riga served as inspiration for this limited-edition product range, allowing everyone to bring a part of the feeling of Riga into their homes.

It is closely connected both with Riga’s image and STENDERS’ origins – a linden tree avenue also blooms every summer by our production facility. We want to preserve this brief natural wonder and transform it into a scent that allows people to experience a Latvian summer not only for our customers in Latvia but also in many parts of the world throughout the year, bringing the “city exclusive” RĪGA collection back into our product range," comments Kristīne Grapmane, STENDERS Chief Executive Officer.

The product range includes liquid soap, hand lotion and bar soap, with formulas containing 93.55% naturally derived ingredients. The liquid soap gently cleanses the skin and creates a rich lather, while the hand lotion, with sweet almond oil, shea butter and linden blossom extract, intensely moisturises it. In addition, all products in the collection contain linden blossom extract produced in Latvia and enriched with manganese and vitamin C. It helps soothe, soften and strengthen the skin while balancing its natural processes.

The collection’s design features the iconic Riga Original® mark, reinterpreted in a contemporary style by the Asketic design studio. Riga Original® brings together local producers, brands and products that tell the story of Riga, its culture and character. The Riga Original® range includes a variety of original products, from quality clothing, cosmetics and candles to traditional rye bread, craft gin, tea and coffee. Through this collaboration, STENDERS has added the cosmetics category to the range, interpreting Riga’s story through the senses.

Riga Original® dates back more than fifteen years, to the “RĪGA” T-shirts, which have since become both one of the city’s most recognisable design symbols and a popular gift for local residents and visitors to Riga alike.
