However, not everyone knows that this brewery is extensive and offers tours both at the brewery in Madona and at Bodnieki.
Madona Brewery is located at its historic site in “Bodnieki”, where beer has been brewed since 1906. To this day, both the ancient fieldstone building and the beer ice cellar have been preserved. Madona beer is available on tap in the finest restaurants and bottled in shops. Beer kegs are available for celebrations.
The brewery is situated in an easily accessible location. Colleagues, family members or a group of friends can come here and use the outdoor grill in the Madona beer garden. Use of the grill is free of charge! Those who would like to enjoy a delicious meal are invited to the Madona Beer BBQ Restaurant, where they can savour authentic Georgian dishes – kharcho, khinkali, khachapuri and shashlik. Naturally, these are served together with fresh Madona beer, straight from the brewery. The dishes are prepared by a team of chefs and a head chef from Georgia, with experience in the most sought-after restaurants in Georgia and abroad.
The garden, where herbs and ornamental shrubs flourish and grow green, also deserves special mention. Becoming even more magnificent each year, the garden is a vibrant addition to the bouquet of flavours and aromas at the Madona brewery and on the terrace of the BBQ restaurant. Various hop varieties are also being tested in the garden. Herbs grow there, and soon visitors will also be delighted by a Japanese garden.
The Madona brewery garden is especially colourful in spring, when around 6,000 tulips of various varieties bloom throughout the grounds. It is definitely worth visiting the Madona Brewery during tulip season!
