Užava Brewery
From the very beginning, Užava beer has adhered to the highest quality German stainless steel equipment, producing beer using modern technology. Starting in the beer business, local malt was used, but due to Latvia's climatic conditions, it is not fully adequate, so proper malt produced in Austria is used in Užava beer brewing. Hops and yeast are also imported from abroad for reasons of availability and quality.
The most important ingredient of beer – water – is sourced locally from 82 m and 89 m deep artesian wells.
When planning a tour, keep in mind that working hours differ between the winter and summer seasons, so follow that on the brewery's website. Tours are available for groups starting from 10 people and last approximately an hour. Visitors will learn about the company's history and principles, tour the brewery, and taste (usually a 0.3 l mug each of light and dark beer). For minors (under 18), the tour is free, but of course, they will not participate in beer tastings.
After the tour, enthusiasts can visit the shop on the brewery's first floor, where they can purchase kvass or various types and kinds of beer, as well as souvenirs.
Let's enjoy beer thoughtfully and in moderation to appreciate its quality and taste. Everyone who wants to spend time with friends and family, including tours, tastings, and active recreation, is warmly invited.
