This year, the BREL real estate forum will examine the technology trends of the future
This autumn, on 2 November, the Baltic Real Estate Leaders, or BREL, forum will take place at the VEF Culture Palace, as it does every year. The forum is dedicated to the real estate industry and, as usual, leading industry experts, entrepreneurs and investors from Latvia and other Baltic and European countries will gather in Riga. The aim of the forum is to discuss current market trends, forecast its further development, and develop skills for wisely attracting and using investments from foreign investors.
This year, the forum programme is divided into three thematically distinct sessions. The first thematic block will focus on the urban environment, attractive city planning and the overall development of the urban environment, which has been a widely discussed topic in recent years. The second session will be devoted to investment. Local and foreign investors will present their views on the Baltic real estate market and examine the latest trends in the investment sector and its further development in the coming years. The topic of the forum’s third session will be future prospects connected with modern technologies: the latest trends that will soon affect the real estate market in the context of offices, industrial premises and retail will be examined. The forum programme will also address such topical issues as the Internet of Things, e-commerce, the customer experience, as well as achieving the final destination, or last-mile delivery. Panel discussions and networking events will take place between the sessions.
“This year, the BREL forum will be held for the seventh time. Over the years, we have gained experience and taken into account the suggestions and wishes of participants in previous forums. This year, we will try to surprise everyone with new ideas and an interesting programme,” says Denis Kairans, Managing Director of Colliers International in Latvia.
The forum will feature executives and analysts from real estate and investment companies in the Baltic region, as well as international experts. Confirmed speakers include the head of Colliers International EMEA Research Damian Harrington (Damian Harrington), Head of METRO-ECE Centermanagement Zulfukar Tosun (Zulfukar Tosun), Head of Investments at NEPI Rockcastle Gijs Klomp, Executive Director of Technopolis Keith Silverang, member of the Board of the Ukrainian Academy of Corporate Governance Aivaras Abromavicius, and other experienced industry professionals. This year, too, the role of forum moderator has been entrusted to Girts Rude, Chief Adviser to RB Rail AS and Chief Coordinator of Rail Baltica.
More information about the BREL forum programme and speakers can be found at www.brelforum.com., where you can also register. Until 22 September, tickets can be purchased at a special price. The forum will be held in English and is organised by Colliers International together with iDEA HOUSE events.
