Does the book have a nose?

On January 9th at 11:00, the exhibition for children "Does the book have a nose?" will be opened at the Children and Youth Department of Jurmala Central Library.

It is an educational interactive exhibition for preschool children and their families about the joy of reading and the journey of a book from the author's story to the bookshelf. The exhibition is organized by the Support Association of the National Library of Latvia (LNB). Its authors are artist Ruta Briede, poet Inese Zandere, and designer Artis Briedis.

In the exhibition, children can explore where books come from, how to enter a book, learn to compose stories, take on the role of an artist, get to know letters, and see how they come together in words. The exhibition will be available at Jurmala Central Library until January 31st.

 Admission is free. The exhibition will later be available in other libraries in Latvia as well.

The exhibition is created in the reading promotion program "Book Start" by LNB and the Support Association of LNB, based on the motives of the picture book "Does the book have a nose?" by Inese Zandere and Ruta Briede.
