Valdis Manfelds’ Wickerwork Exhibition at Lejasstrazdi Library

Valdis Manfelds’ wickerwork exhibition can be viewed at Lejasstrazdi Library from 2 March to 27 March.

Valdis Manfelds is a basket maker and craftsman who preserves and carries on Latvian craft traditions through his work. His wickerwork combines meticulous handcraft, many years of experience and a genuine love of his craft.

The exhibition features various baskets, vessels and decorative wickerwork, showcasing both traditional techniques and the artist’s individual style.

It is an opportunity to discover the diversity of natural materials and the craft skills that have been cultivated in Latvia for centuries.
