Valmiera Municipality Day at the National Library of Latvia

Valmiera Municipality Day took place at the National Library of Latvia on 1 October, highlighting the development, culture, sports, gastronomy and other special stories of Valmiera Municipality. One of these stories already has a home at the National Library of Latvia. The People's Bookshelf, which rises to the height of a five-storey building, was made in Valmiera. The special book from Valmiera Municipality now displayed on the special shelf is “The Dynamic City”, Valmiera’s application for the title of European Capital of Culture. Presenting the book to Anda Lamaša, Deputy Director of the National Library of Latvia, we invite everyone to experience their own special story and continue cultivating positive thoughts, not to be afraid to stay in motion, and to constantly evaluate and create.
