Will Be Able to Receive a Barricades Participant Certificate

On 4 March 2019, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Mazsalaca Municipality Administration, 4 Pērnavas Street, Mazsalaca, barricades participants will be able to receive Barricades Participant Status Certificates. 

Certificates will be issued by prior appointment; please call 25447706.

The 1991 Barricades Participant Certificate is a document certifying the status of a barricades participant. It can be obtained by persons who have registered as barricades participants and received one of the forms of award—a Commemorative Badge or a Letter of Appreciation.

The certificate is intended to be presented at state and municipal institutions of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the law “On the Status of 1991 Barricades Participants”. In its binding regulations, a municipality may grant barricades participants who have obtained this certificate social guarantees, various discounts and benefits.

When coming to receive the certificate, you must bring the Commemorative Badge certificate or Letter of Appreciation (the original or a copy) and an identity document (passport or ID card).

Those barricades participants who have not yet registered and received one of the awards will not be able to obtain a Status Certificate.
