New Year's Eve Campaign “Light Up Dobele”

From 23 December 2020 until the end of 31 December, the “Light Up Dobele” campaign will take place in Dobele.  The aim of the campaign is to create a festive atmosphere in the urban environment and encourage public involvement in creating it, while observing all restrictions established in the country.

Dobele City Culture Centre invites institutions, businesses, associations, residents of private and apartment buildings, and organisations to participate in the New Year's Eve campaign “Light Up Dobele”. Let us create a festive atmosphere in the city together by illuminating building windows, façades, courtyards, trees and the expanse of sky with various lights from 23 to 31 December.

During the campaign, everyone is invited to capture their illuminated object in a photograph or video and publish it on social media with the hashtag #DobeleDara.

On New Year's Eve, we invite residents to be environmentally friendly and responsible and not to use pyrotechnics, but at midnight to watch the light countdown sent into the sky.

Organised by: Dobele City Culture Centre in cooperation with Dobele Municipality

Photography and filming will take place during the campaign. Photos or videos may be used for non-commercial purposes. Strictly observe the recommendations and requirements established in the country to contain COVID-19.
