The ELEUSA icon-painting workshop in Riga invites you to a Christmas master class!
While listening to the beautiful music of the medieval composer, scholar, artist, mystic and nun Hildegard of Bingen, we will paint the Christmas Rose.
In her scholarly works, Hildegard extensively explored the healing powers of nature’s gifts. Her music, too, is imbued with joy at the beauty of the world created by God.
From this beauty, we will take one fragment—the royal flower, the ROSE.
We will work in the ancient painting technique of egg tempera.
We will show you how to prepare pigments for your work and how to create a unique painting that will bring joy to you and your loved ones during the holidays!
You may choose one of the following dates:
8 December: from 15:00 to 21:00;
12 December: from 15:00 to 21:00.
Participation fee per person: EUR 30.
All materials required for the work are included in the price.
During breaks, we will treat you to delicious tea and coffee.
Each participant will receive a small gift from us!
