Car Photo Orientation 'Kursas Kurbulis' and Concert 'Čipsis un Dullais'

Car photo orientation competition “Kursas Kurbulis” – Discover the Ventspils region!

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Ventspils region will host the car photo orientation competition “Kursas Kurbulis” – an event where participants will have the opportunity not only to test their orientation skills and strategic thinking but also to simultaneously explore the cultural and historical sites, tourist attractions, local producers, and entrepreneurs of the Ventspils region.

The event starts at 12:00 PM in Užava, where teams will register for participation and receive competition materials.

The finish line must be reached by all teams by 6:00 PM at the Piltene Open-Air Stage, where the evening conclusion will take place – team awards, a concert by the band “Čipsis un Dullais,” and a DJ.

Checkpoints will be located throughout the Ventspils region, including certain parts of Ventspils city. They will lead participants not only to cultural and historical sites but also to the homes of local producers and rural entrepreneurs, rural tourism farms, and other interesting places.

The aim of the event is to showcase the diversity of the region, strengthen the recognition of local entrepreneurs, and promote active leisure.

Participation fee per team (up to 5 people):

– 28 euros for the first 30 registered teams;

– 35 euros for the remaining teams.

The participation fee for all teams includes entry to the “Čipsis un Dullais” concert at the Piltene Open-Air Stage and the closing party with a DJ. 

During the event, photographers and videographers will accompany the teams to capture the events, team emotions, and activities. Photo and video materials will later be used for event publicity.

To participate in the event, you need:

– a car or motorcycle :);

– a team (at least 2 people, maximum of up to 5 people);

– a smartphone with a camera, stable internet connection, and the WhatsApp and Google Maps apps;

– it is recommended to bring a power bank.
