Poetry Day Event in Piltene

On September 13 at 7:00 p.m., a special Poetry Day event will take place at the Piltene Cultural Center, where literature and music will merge in harmony. The evening will feature a conversation with the distinguished Latvian writer and art scholar Gundega Repše, led by Inga Ieviņa. Attendees will have the opportunity not only to listen to the author's reflections on her latest work 'Atlantas,' but also to enjoy poetry readings and a musical performance.

The event will conclude with a special musical program. The vocal cycle 'Mēness meitiņa' will be performed by tenor Juris Jope and pianist Endijs Renemaņš. The cycle combines Latvian poetry and music, creating a unique atmosphere and offering the audience the chance to appreciate the interpretation of an outstanding artistic work. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to view an exhibition dedicated to Poetry Day, curated by the Piltene Library.
