Serious Comedy “All In!” | In Ulbroka
There are people who draw, people who sing, others play the piano, climb mountains, ride a bike, or take long walks. Everyone enjoys life according to their tastes and possibilities. But if life's rapid twists and turns throw you out of the boat and you are forced to find a solution in midlife, often a dead end occurs.
When you resolutely go to the bank to ask for a loan but are denied because you are too old, and you have neither a guarantor nor collateral, and your sister helplessly places her heavy hand on your shoulder to push you to your knees, in desperation you can only gasp to the bank director: “If you don't give me the loan, I will seduce and sleep with your wife.”
This will be a truly thrilling survival battle between two actors.
Who will win? Come and see for yourself!

“Working with the brilliantly written play “All In!” by Jordi Galceran (original title “The Credit”), as a director, I am always attracted to the opportunity to dig deeper than the surface. And if you manage to reach the core, the satisfaction is almost always much greater. This time is no exception, and creating the performance together with two leading actors of my generation - Artis Robežnieks and Normunds Laizāns, is not only an unprecedented experience but also a creative challenge, as both masters have dedicated the best years of their lives to the stage and know the craft well, thus excellently enhancing the collaboration with their contribution. This play is cunning. In a good sense, of course. It entertains, shakes things up, and raises questions. Our collectively chosen genre designation “serious comedy” is no accident. It allows us to talk about serious matters through jokes, and vice versa,” describes the play's director Intars Rešetins-Pētersons.
