R&B Blues Festival
Blues music, American vibe, and the stunning Latvian nature converge at the annual "R&B Blues Festival" in Ropaži on June 8, 2024.
The international festival "R&B Blues Festival" will gather visitors at the picturesque, historic Ropaži Park amphitheater, on the banks of the Great Jugla River. R&B Blues Festival is the largest Blues music festival in Latvia, held in Ropaži since 2016, organized by Latvian Blues Band vocalist Jānis ‘Bux’ Bukovskis.
Throughout the festival days, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by both local and international artists, including the festival headliners – Justina Lee Brown from Nigeria, the European voice of Aretha Franklin, as well as the captivating Polish Boogie/Blues ensemble, Boogie Boys. Special guests of the festival include Aija Andrejeva & Very Cool People with their 'Woodstock Renaissance' concert program, alongside local blues stars – Latvian Blues Band and Blues/Funky/Soul masters “SUGAR SUGAR”. The festival program will kick off with the young Latvian Blues talents “The Rollkeys”.
For American car enthusiasts, in collaboration with the “American Car Club”, there will be a US car exhibition on the festival grounds starting from 3:00 PM, where every festival visitor can admire special vehicles.
In the festival area, there will be a children's entertainment zone where young festival attendees can enjoy various activities, making "R&B Blues Festival" a great first experience for the youngest visitors. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks from the festival's partners. "R&B Blues Festival" is suitable for anyone interested in relaxing in the fresh air, enjoying quality music, and a pleasant atmosphere.
