Walpurgis Night 2023 'Heartbeats of the Forest'

On April 30, starting at 7:00 PM, the Walpurgis Night events will begin. First, there will be a concert in the gnome town of Čiekure, where gnomes from all over Latvia will gather to showcase their skills, engage guests in various activities, have fun with games, party games, and dances, enjoy a concert, a bubble show, colorful fireworks, and, of course, delight visitors with the Gnome Crafts Fair and delicious gnome treats.

Visitors will also be delighted by light objects and light shows. Multimedia artist Jānis Pētersons' light installation 'Heartbeats of the Forest' will symbolically coincide with the arrival of spring, the awakening of the forest, and fertility. Visitors can also expect special surprises that will unfold during the evening.

Not only gnomes, but also witches will be present, brewing various potions, predicting the future, inviting everyone to songs and dances – the dance group 'Ir varianti' and the ethnofolk group 'TKP' will take care of the dances. In the evening, there will be a Witch Mask Parade and competition.

The end point of the walking trails will be the Amusement Square, where visitors can enjoy various culinary delights and experience the laser show created by artist Jānis Pētersons, which will be presented in multiple sessions to make sure no one misses it. Between sessions, Ata Ieviņa and her band 'The Rock Brothers' will perform.
