The Square of Poet Andrejs Pumpurs Add an Object
Located south of Vienības House, the square was created in the second half of the 19th century. It houses several notable objects: a fountain (20th century), a bust of Latvian folk poet Andrejs Pumpurs, a memorial stone to the innocent victims of the Red Terror, and St. Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Chapel. On the other side of Vienības Street, the impressive building of Daugavpils University rises, with a monument to Rainis and a sundial in the foreground.
