Kuldīga Old Town Add an Object

By decision No. 6 of the UNESCO Latvian National Commission Assembly on February 25, 2011, Kuldīga Old Town in the Venta River Valley has been approved for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List of Latvia. The historic center, together with the unique natural landscape, forms an incomparable ensemble. In addition to the Old Town, several objects in Kuldīga are included in the UNESCO heritage: the Kuldīga Castle Hill, Kuldīga Castle, and the Venta Canal.

In the modern street landscape of Kuldīga Old Town, the urban and architectural features of the 16th to 18th centuries are clearly visible, from the time when the city was known as Goldingen. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of the past and beautiful landscapes, combined with all the conveniences provided by the modern environment, in harmony with the picturesque antiquity.
