Ventas Rumba Add an Object

 Ventas Rumba is located in Kuldīga on the Venta River and is the widest waterfall in Europe. The width varies depending on the season and water volume - on average it is 100-110 m, reaching up to 270 m during the flood season. The height of the waterfall is 1.6-2.2 m. Ventas Rumba is part of the Ventas ielejas dabas liegums (Ventas Valley Nature Reserve).

There is a legend that the waterfall was formed by the devil's stones, but in reality, dolomite was used in the construction of the Kuldīga Castle.

Nearby is the guesthouse "Ventas Rumba" - on the right bank of the Venta River, opposite the waterfall. Guests can stay in rooms of various sizes, there is a fireplace, a lounge, a banquet hall, and a sauna. Kuldīga with its UNESCO-listed old town is also nearby.
