Ziemeri Manor was first mentioned in the 16th century when Alberts Zimers acquired it in his possession, from whom the place derived its name.
In the history of the manor's existence, there have been several changes of owners, for example, during the Swedish Livonia period, the manor became the property of K. Langenberg, later in the possession of Grīpenhelms. In 1804, the manor was purchased by Johans Gotlībs von Wolff, but after World War II, the manor was nationalized.
Since 2004, Ziemeri Manor Castle has been owned by director Dita Balčus. Nowadays, Ziemeri Manor is considered a cultural and creative residency where guests can relax and experience various events while enjoying the historical values of the manor. There is a café available in the manor where you can try a dessert prepared according to an old manor recipe.
