Church of the Transfiguration of Christ in Cesis

The Church of the Transfiguration of Christ in Cesis is located in the northeastern part of Pils Park. The idea to build a church for the Latvian congregation arose already in the 14th century.

Harmony House

Harmony House is a nationally significant architectural monument. It is one of the oldest brick buildings in Cesis with restored 18th century facade coloring.

Livu Square

In the first half of the 13th century, Livu Square was the first marketplace of the city of Cesis. It was home to a church, a cemetery, and the Riga Gate in the city wall.

Rauna Gates

At the very beginning of the present-day Riga Street, Rauna Gates (14th-15th century) have been found. From here, in medieval times, the road to Rauna-Aluksne-Pskov and Trikata-Pskov began.

Rose Square

The ancient Market Square has once again become the most important and active territory in the old town of Cesis. Here, markets take place, concerts are held on summer evenings, and in winter, an ice rink is set up.

The Janson Family Sculptors' House "SIĻĶES"

The Janson Family Sculptors' House "Siļķes" - it consists of two workshops specifically built for sculpture and stone carving. The sculptor Matiass Jansons works here.
